Managers, supervisors, safety professionals or other key personnel that may be required to develop or regulate fall protection procedures and make on site assessments should attend this course. The goal of this course is to prepare students to act as designated “Competent Person” utilizing necessary safe work practices and regulations designed to prevent injuries and death, due to falls while working in elevated surfaces.
Course is conducted using lecture, hands-on scenarios applying theory discussed to practical workplace situations. This is a very involved course which will expand beyond the skill basics of the detailed skills course. Competent person training is a pass/fail program incorporating both written and practical examinations.
At the completion of this course the participants will be acquainted with the following information and material:
